SHERIDAN, Wyo. (AP) - A judge in Sheridan has sentenced a woman for hitting two bicyclists with her vehicle last year, killing a man and seriously injuring his wife.
District Judge William Edelman sentenced Hannah Terry to eight to 20 years for aggravated homicide with a vehicle.
She also received a sentence of six to 10 years for driving under the influence and causing bodily injury, but Edelman suspended that in lieu of 10 years of supervised probation to run consecutively to the homicide sentence.
He also ordered her to pay restitution of nearly $188,000.
Police say Larry and Sara Hurst were riding their bikes last May when they were struck by a vehicle driven by Terry.
The Sheridan Press reports (https://bit.ly/17uZ7b2 ) that Terry pleaded guilty last December as part of a plea deal with prosecutors.
