A group seeking to keep Hillary Rodham Clinton out of the White House is mocking the former secretary of state with a series of fake Valentine’s Day cards — including one from embattled NBC News anchor Brian Williams, who, like Mrs. Clinton, has told tall tales about coming under enemy fire.

The card, created by the Stop Hillary PAC, includes a picture of Mr. Williams and reads: “To Hillary — from one combat veteran to another, happy Valentine’s Day.”

Mr. Williams was suspended by NBC this week for lying about being on a helicopter that came under fire in Iraq in 2003.

Mrs. Clinton, the Democratic party frontrunner for president in 2016, has faced criticism for a similar story.

During her 2008 presidential campaign, she claimed that in 1996 she landed in Bosnia under heavy “sniper fire.” Video footage showed Mrs. Clinton landing safely and under no fire of any kind.

Linking Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Williams is just one of the mock Valentine’s greetings created by the Stop Hillary PAC, which is dedicated to stopping the former first lady from becoming president.

“This is a light-hearted way for millions of Americans who reject Hillary’s radical agenda to remind their friends how disastrous a Clinton presidency would be for our country,” said Ted Harvey, Chairman of the Stop Hillary PAC. “We look forward to delivering thousands of valentines to Hillary, if we can find her.”

Other cards include a picture of Mrs. Clinton and the words, “I’d send you a Valentine, but I’m ‘dead broke,’” a reference to Mrs. Clinton’s widely mocked assertion that she and former President Clinton were broke when they left the White House in 2001.

Another card includes a picture of gaffe-prone Vice President Joseph R. Biden and the phrase “Happy Columbus Day, Hillary.”

At the other end of the spectrum, the Ready for Hillary PAC has its own legitimate Valentine’s Day card for Mrs. Clinton.

Supporters can sign the electronic card, which reads: “What would we love to see? Hillary as our next president.”
