CLAYTON, Mo. (AP) - A Ferguson resident is facing charges for allegedly looting two businesses on the November night of the announcement that a grand jury would not indict Ferguson officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of Michael Brown.
Charges of second-degree burglary and theft were filed Tuesday against 34-year-old Leroy Allen. St. Louis County police say Allen was found hiding in a bathroom at Dellwood Market in Dellwood on Nov. 24, hours after the grand jury announcement. Police say surveillance footage was used to identify him as a suspect in looting that same night at a gas station in unincorporated north St. Louis County.
Police have been releasing surveillance images periodically in an effort to track down those involved in looting.
