BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Authorities are identifying a boy shot to death outside his grandmother’s home in Birmingham as 14-year-old Miracle Stinson.

Birmingham police Lt. Sean Edwards said investigators believe Miracle got into a physical altercation with some females at a library, and one of the females told other people about the dispute.

Authorities say that while Miracle was on his way home around 5 p.m. Tuesday, two males drove up in a vehicle and then got out and opened fire on him.

Al.com reports (https://bit.ly/19wsWso) that the teen ran for help into his grandmother’s home, where he collapsed in a back bedroom.

The teenager is Birmingham’s ninth — and youngest — homicide victim this year.
