TICONDEROGA, N.Y. (AP) - Fort Ticonderoga is again offering scholarships for teachers to attend the historic site’s War College of the Seven Years’ War, an annual gathering of experts in the conflict known in North America as the French and Indian War.

Officials at the tourist attraction in the southeast Adirondacks say scholarships will be given to four middle or high school teachers for the symposium, being held May 15-17.

The fort’s 20th annual War College will bring together a panel of prominent historians, authors and scholars who discuss the military, social and cultural aspects of the French and Indian War, fought in North America from 1754-1763.

A total of 180 teacher scholarships have been provided to attend the annual May symposium and the other seminars and conferences hosted by the fort.
