MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) - Firefighters in metro Atlanta say two people suffered injuries before they were rescued from a burning building at a condominium complex.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (https://on-ajc.com/1vlq9w5 ) Cobb County firefighters are investigating the blaze Friday morning as suspicious. Fire Lt. Dan Dupree said one person from the condo unit where the fire started was being questioned.
Firefighters found flames shooting from the roof of a building at the Bentley Ridge Condominiums after the blaze was reported at about 8:30 a.m.
Dupree said two people rescued by firefighters were taken to a hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation. He said both were walking and alert when they were brought out of the burning building.
Firefighters said the building, which houses 10 condominiums, had no fire sprinklers.
