HECTOR, N.Y. (AP) - Scott B. Adams has some advice for fellow upstate New Yorkers grousing about the arctic conditions gripping the region: “Suck It Up, It’s Winter.”

That’s the title of a song the Schuyler County musician and recording studio owner wrote and debuted last Friday at the Hector Wine Company on the east side of Seneca Lake.

On Thursday, he posted a recording of the song on YouTube, with the lyrics to the 3½-minute song superimposed over a wall thermometer showing the temperature barely hovering above zero.

Among the lyrics to the song, recorded with an acoustic guitar: “Yeah, my friends are wimps, they say it’s too damn cold/Heading to Bahamas and Mexico/10 below zero? Ah, give me a break, I’m digging the weather here at Seneca Lake.”
