NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The North Little Rock School District has canceled a hearing on the firing of its high school football coach and will reissue its recommendation that the coach be fired.

School Superintendent Kelly Rodgers said in a news release Wednesday that district attorneys advised that the recommendation to fire coach Brad Bolding be reissued so all findings from an investigation into Bolding can be presented to the school board.

Rodgers said Arkansas’ Teacher Fair Dismissal Act says evidence or documents not included in a termination recommendation cannot be used in a hearing, so the district is reissuing the original Jan. 30 recommendation in order to present all evidence gathered during an investigation of Bolding.

Bolding has 30 days to request that another hearing be scheduled.
