Mirjana Puhar, a recent “America’s Next Top Model” contestant, was killed Tuesday in a triple homicide at a Charlotte, North Carolina, home, police said.

Ms. Puhar, 19, was found dead along with her boyfriend Jonathan Cosme Alvarado, 23, and Jusmar Isiah Gonzaga-Garcia, 21, the Charlotte Observer reported.

Police arrested Emmanuel Jesus Rangel, 19, on Wednesday and charged him with three counts of first-degree murder. He has also been charged in connection with a Sunday slaying in Matthews, the Observer reported.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said preliminary information indicated the victims knew each other and that the killings were drug-related. 

The have not said how the victims died.

Ms. Puhar was on the 21st season of “Top Model,” which aired last year, TMZ reported. She was eliminated from the show in the 10th episode.
