ST. ANTHONY, Idaho (AP) - A woman has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for taking part in a plan to murder her stepfather.

The Post Register reports (https://www.postregister.com/node/74637) that 24-year-old Jessica Joy Brown received the sentence Tuesday in 7th District Court. She pleaded guilty in July to aiding and abetting first-degree murder.

Twenty-one-year-old Jermaine Wiley received a sentence of 15 years for shooting Eric Norlen twice. He pleaded guilty in December to attempted first-degree murder.

Authorities say the pair confronted Norlen in April because Brown wanted to regain custody of her 2-year-old child from Norlen and brought Wiley to help.

Wiley ended up shooting Norlen in the chest and again while he was face-down in the snow.

Brown apologize to Norlen during the hearing Tuesday.
