COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - The winter storm is moving out of South Carolina.

The National Weather Service said no frozen precipitation was falling in the state early Thursday.

A winter weather advisory was still in effect until late Thursday morning in the Upstate and in the northeastern corner of the state.



The mountains in South Carolina got up to 4 inches of snow. The Greenville-Spartanburg area got less than 2 inches. About 1 inch was reported in the Rock Hill area.

Duke Energy reported nearly 900 customers were without electric service. Most of those outages were in Greenville County.

South Carolina Electric & Gas reported about 2,100 customers without service. Almost all of those were in Charleston County.

The state transportation department said all interstate highways were open.
