HONOLULU (AP) - The Coast Guard and state of Hawaii are responding to an abandoned fishing vessel that sank in Honolulu Harbor.
The Coast Guard said Monday about 50 gallons of diesel fuel spilled from the 77-foot fishing vessel Judy K before a containment boom was put into place.
Guardsmen deployed about 150 feet of boom and absorbent pads to retrieve and contain the oil from the vessel.
The Coast Guard first received notice the ship was sinking at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
