SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - Police in Moscow, Idaho, have not yet questioned a man suspected in the shooting deaths of three people over the weekend.

Police Chief David Duke said Monday morning that John Lee remains jailed in adjacent Whitman County, Washington, and may not be questioned until he is returned to Idaho.

Police are also asking community members if they have any information on a motive.

The 29-year-old Lee was expected to make a court appearance in Whitman County later Monday on a felony charge of eluding law enforcement officers that arose from a wild high-speed chase through the Palouse region on Saturday.

Lee was arrested after he lost control of his car and it crashed off U.S. Highway 195 just south of Steptoe, Washington.
