MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Authorities have identified the 26-year-old man who was killed in a Madison apartment over the weekend.

The Dane County medical examiner’s office says the victim was Lonzell Daniel of Chicago.

Preliminary autopsy results find that Daniel died of homicidal violence. No other details were released.

The Wisconsin State Journal (https://bit.ly/1C9V5y0 ) reports police said Monday that weapons were found at the home where Daniel was killed early Saturday.

Before receiving the medical examiner’s report, Madison Police Chief Mike Koval said it still was not clear how the victim was killed.

Authorities say Daniel was attending a party at the apartment and later died of his injuries.

Police have made no arrests.
