SHENANDOAH, Pa. (AP) - A man and a teen have been charged in a fatal Pennsylvania beating last year that police say they planned as revenge for an alleged sexual assault on the teen’s friend.

Oliver Trizarri, of Reading, and Stanley Kralik, of Coaldale, were jailed without bail Monday on charges including homicide and robbery in Corey Samuels’ January 2014 death.

They couldn’t be reached for comment. Online court records didn’t include information on their lawyers.

The Republican-Herald reports (https://bit.ly/17DaQ78 ) the 21-year-old Trizarri and 17-year-old Kralik told police they lured Samuels into the woods in Coaldale, hit him with a shovel and choked him into unconsciousness.

The 24-year-old Samuels’ remains were found in September. Police say the body showed signs of sharp and blunt force trauma.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 22.
