CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) - An Allegany County woman is pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter for stabbing her husband in their home in August.
State’s Attorney Michael Twigg says 29-year-old Jessyca Kimble of Midland entered the plea Tuesday in Cumberland. No sentencing date was set.
Twigg says Kimble stabbed her 29-year-old husband Edward in the chest with a kitchen knife during an argument on the evening of Aug. 19.
The prosecutor says the couple had an extensive history of domestic violence.
Kimble maintained she was acting in self-defense, but Twigg says her husband had no weapon.
She was initially charged with second-degree murder.
