HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (AP) - A fire truck responding to a wreck ran off a mountain road in Henderson County, injuring several firefighters.
Henderson County Sheriff’s Maj. Frank Stout told local reporters the wreck happened around 8 a.m. Wednesday.
The initial wreck was blamed on icy, foggy conditions. The engine rolled down the side of the hill.
Two firefighters were taken to a hospital in Hendersonville. A third firefighter was taken to an Asheville hospital. There was no immediate word on their conditions.
