TOMS RIVER, N.J. (AP) - No one was injured when a Toms River school bus caught fire and became engulfed in flames.

Police say the bus was traveling on Old Freehold Road Wednesday morning when the driver smelled something burning.

Police say the driver pulled over and exited the vehicle along with an aide.



Video posted on the police department’s Facebook page shows flames devouring the vehicle before the fire was extinguished by the Pleasant Plains Volunteer Fire Company.

No children were aboard.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
