FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - A Fairbanks man convicted of firing shots into a home has been sentenced to 30 months in prison.

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner (https://bit.ly/1Ah8eCW) reports 32-year-old Christopher David Williams pleaded guilty to weapons misconduct and was sentenced Tuesday.

Fairbanks police say Williams got into a dispute with his work acquaintance after the man cashed a check written by Williams, causing his account to be overdrawn.

Williams on May 4 showed up at the man’s eastside home with a gun.

Police say the man heard Williams yelling and opened his front door but closed it when he saw Williams with the gun.

Police say Williams fired several shots from a pistol at the home and drove off.

Williams was arrested in an alley behind the other man’s home.
