GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - A 44-year-old Greensboro-area woman has died after she was hit by a tractor driven by her 99-year-old grandfather.
The Guilford County sheriff’s office told local media that Sherry Lynn Yow died when she was struck about 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Investigators say the man and woman were moving bales of hay on their farm when the grandfather lost control of the tractor and ran over her.
Yow died at the scene.
Detectives said the death was an accident and no charges will be filed.
