LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - An acrobatic gymnastics team member has been seriously injured in a fall at Union College in Lincoln.

College spokesman Ryan Teller said 23-year-old Heather Boulais remained hospitalized Thursday. A posting on the university website says Boulais fell Wednesday night while setting up a gymnastics apparatus for a practice of the Gymnaires team. She is listed in critical condition.

Lincoln Fire Battalion Chief Tim Linke says firefighters were sent to the college’s gymnasium just before 8 p.m. on a report that someone had fallen more than 30 feet. The university says the gymnasium remains closed and men’s and women’s basketball games scheduled for Thursday have been canceled.

Union College is a four-year college that’s owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
