FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Authorities are trying to determine what caused the deaths of a woman and a toddler girl whose bodies were found in a Fort Worth field.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office on Wednesday identified the pair as 27-year-old Lindsay Groce and 13-month-old Hailey Gardner. The coroner did not immediately provide manners of death.
Investigators are trying to determine whether a car found wrecked nearby contributed to the deaths.
Authorities say Groce lived in an apartment about 5 miles from where the vehicle was discovered Tuesday morning. A man repairing a fence found the bodies several hours later.
