SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say passenger numbers are up at the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport near the Georgia-South Carolina line.
The Savannah Morning News reports (https://bit.ly/1x4JPPS) that the number of passengers departing from the airport in 2014 was up 17 percent over the previous year.
The airport served 1.9 million passengers in 2014. Delta Air Lines accounted for most of passengers at 48 percent.
JetBlue began service from Savannah to New York and Boston in February. Delta, which added 28,330 seats last year, also began offering daily nonstop service to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport in February.
