WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (AP) - The trial of a man in a double slaying in northeastern Pennsylvania is scheduled to begin next week.

The Citizens Voice of Wilkes-Barre (https://bit.ly/1uaObnv ) reports that a Luzerne County judge has seated a jury and ordered the trial to begin Wednesday for Hugo Selenski.

He is charged in the May 2002 deaths of Michael Kerkowski and his girlfriend, Tammy Fassett, who were among a number of people whose bodies were found buried on Selenski’s property more than a decade ago.

Selenski has been serving a sentence of 32½ to 65 years on a conviction in a Monroe County home invasion and robbery.

The trial is expected to last four to six weeks. He is charged with homicide, robbery and other counts.
