DE QUEEN, Ark. (AP) - An Oklahoma man was arrested in southwest Arkansas after leading authorities on a chase into Arkansas before crashing into a patrol car.
The Texarkana Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1AnJjgT ) that Clay Paul Denny of Spencerville, Oklahoma, was arrested for fleeing, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia and theft by receiving.
Authorities say the chase began in McCurtain County, Oklahoma, when authorities tried to stop a pickup truck pulling a trailer. The driver led officers on the chase on U.S. Highway 70 into Sevier County, Arkansas where he tried to make a U-turn and collided with a McCurtain County patrol car.
No injuries were reported.
Authorities say the trailer was reported stolen and contained items reported stolen in Little River and Lafayette counties in Arkansas and from Bowie and Cass counties in Texas.
