OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - State investigators have executed a search warrant on a medical clinic operated by an Oklahoma City doctor under investigation for allegedly distributing prescription pills illegally.

Agents from the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office and the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs carried out a search warrant Monday morning at Aria Orthopedics. Officials say Its owner, Dr. Harvey Jenkins, has been under investigation since 2012.

Jenkins has not been charged. But Attorney General Scott Pruitt says his office has evidence that shows Jenkins may be using his position as a physician to operate as a “pill mill.”

Seized in the search were patient records, contracts, computer hard drives and other documents allegedly showing Jenkins prescribed potentially harmful and deadly narcotics without proper medical supervision.
