OREGON CITY, Ore. (AP) - Authorities say an Oregon city man who chased his wife in a pickup and wounded her has died of a self-inflicted gunshot to the head.
Police said 55-year-old Timothy Moffatt shot himself Monday as officers arrived at a dead-end street where he’d crashed his pickup into his wife’s SUV and shot her.
The Oregonian reports (https://bit.ly/1wBfqYr) he died Tuesday night.
His wife, 54-year-old Jan Moffatt, was hospitalized in critical condition. She was hit twice.
In December, she obtained a restraining order against him and described abuse during 35 years of marriage. She said he often threatened to kill her and commit suicide.
