SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Court documents indicate that a woman killed in her Sioux Falls home late last year was beaten and choked.

The Argus Leader reports (https://argusne.ws/1Kp0VRL ) that 39-year-old Timothy Moses was indicted Wednesday on alternate murder and manslaughter counts in the Dec. 28 death of 36-year-old Angel Schroeder.

Moses had been arrested earlier and remains jailed on $1 million cash bond. It wasn’t clear if he had an attorney.

Officers went to the home to check on the well-being of Moses after a call from his out-of-state mother and found Schroeder’s body and Moses with cuts on his wrists.

Police say children in the home told officers that Moses and Schroeder had been fighting.
