SAN ANTONIO (AP) - A federal judge has sentenced a former San Antonio computer teacher to nearly six years in prison in an online child pornography case.

The San Antonio News-Express (https://bit.ly/1x1TK7H ) reports 43-year-old Raul F. Salazar also was ordered on Thursday to serve 20 years of federal supervision once he’s released. He pleaded guilty in March to receipt of child pornography as part of a deal with prosecutors to dismiss other charges.

Salazar started at South San Antonio High School in 2006 and resigned in September, a month after federal agents raided his residence. He told law enforcement officials then that he didn’t distribute child porn but said he searched for and viewed it.

Prosecutors say the child porn was on Salazar’s home computers, not on any of his equipment at school.
