SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - A contractor is returning to the Santa Fe River Trail to swap two signs that had visitors questioning their claim that “you are here.”

The Santa Fe New Mexican reports (https://bit.ly/1NwSzHB) that Silver City-based Conservation by Design installed the Frenchy’s Field Park sign at Bicentennial/Alto Park and is returning Thursday to fix the mistake.

Company co-owner John Pierson says it was a simple error by a crew unfamiliar with the parks.

Santa Fe River Greenway project manager Scott Kaseman says visitors quickly noticed the mistake and that someone used a Sharpie pen to write in the right location.

Kaseman wiped off the marks and says Post-it notes let people know the mistake is being fixed.

A National Parks Service grant is funding the new signs as plans move forward to extend the trail.
