PHOENIX (AP) - A Peoria man accused of inappropriately touching underage girls at his horseback riding training facility is facing a third trial.

A Maricopa County Superior Court judge on Wednesday set a tentative late July trial date for 69-year-old Ralph Edward Carr.

His first two trials ended in hung juries. The first was in 2012 and the latest was in March when jurors couldn’t agree on 14 charges, but found Carr innocent of one count of aggravated assault and one count of sexual abuse.

Carr was initially accused of fondling an 11-year-old girl in 2006 at his horseback facility in Peoria.

Four more girls came forward over the next three years accusing Carr of the same offense.

Prosecutors say Carr gained the trust of the girls before groping them in a barn.
