DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) - The U.S. Army will cut 186 soldiers from Fort Rucker as the result of budget reductions.

A spokesman for U.S. Rep. Martha Roby, Todd Stacy, said the losses account for about 6 percent of the post’s workforce.

However, the reductions are lighter than those happening at Fort Benning in Georgia.

The Dothan Eagle (https://bit.ly/1LW4m3O ) reports that current plan calls for the Army’s total numbers to dip to 450,000 by next September.
