ELK MOUND, Wis. (AP) - Elk Mound High School has run into some trademark issues over its new sports logo.

The elk recently painted at center court in the high school gym looks a lot like the Milwaukee Bucks’ deer logo. Superintendent Robert Walsh says the artist changed the antlers, mouth and nose to make it look more like an elk instead of a buck.

But the National Basketball Association, the Bucks and Elk Mound school officials agreed the best way to avoid trademark issues was for the high school to develop a new logo for the Mounders and have the gym floor repainted. The Bucks even offered to pay for the job.
