NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Police say an 18-year-old man has been fatally shot in a North Little Rock parking lot.
According to a news release from North Little Rock police Sgt. Brian Dedrick, officers found Aaron Crawford early Thursday lying on the pavement near a U.S. Bank and his vehicle had been stolen. A 19-year-old suspect was arrested Thursday night on charges of capital murder, aggravated robbery and theft by receiving.
Dedrick said Crawford and the suspect were acquaintances. According to the release, Crawford met the suspect in Jacksonville and agreed to give him a ride to Little Rock for $300. Dedrick said something happened during the course of the ride that led to the shooting.
The suspect was found driving the victim’s car in Jacksonville.
