PHOENIX (AP) - A man accused in the death of his business partner in Tempe has been sentenced to 18 years in prison.
Maricopa County prosecutors say 35-year-old Chad Justin Norris was sentenced Friday after being convicted of second-degree murder in May.
Authorities say the body of 45-year-old Jason Johnson has yet to be found.
Norris and Johnson co-owned an auto repair business that had locations in Scottsdale and Tempe.
Employees at the Tempe business reported seeing the two men in a heated argument on Sept. 14, 2012.
Johnson was reported missing days later when he didn’t show up for work.
Investigators say evidence showed Johnson was shot at the Tempe shop and Norris subsequently disposed of the body.
Norris’ wife pleaded guilty to hindering prosecution and will be sentenced July 15.
