WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) - The Bonanzaville museum and pioneer village in West Fargo will soon have a new church.
John Monilaws is the president of the Cass County Historical Society. He tells KFGO-AM (https://bit.ly/1fxGTtJ ) that the community has raised enough money to move a church near the town of Christine to Bonanzaville.
A fire last summer heavily damaged the 118-year-old church that was on the grounds of Bonanzaville.
Monilaws says he expects the entire new church to be on its new home in early August. Crews removed the steeple from the church in Christine this week.
Monilaws adds there are many tasks left to do at the church’s new site including a basement to pour. He says the museum needs $100,000 more to be able to complete the project.
