REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. (AP) - Some unexpected visitors, including a baby kangaroo, are making their way to the Delaware coast this summer.

The Daily Times (https://delmarvane.ws/1Sdf0mm ) reports Barn Hill Preserve is bringing animals each day to sites along Delaware’s coast from Rehoboth Beach to Fenwick Island.

On Thursday, the group brought Roodini, a 9-month-old red kangaroo joey, to a toy store in Fenwick Island. They also brought a blue-tongued skink and a Solomon Island eclectus parrot. For a $10 donation, animal fans were able to get their photos taken while holding the kangaroo.

The group also makes visits to Jungle Jim’s near Rehoboth Beach, the Juice Box in Ocean View, Gold Down Under in Fenwick Island and Summer Salt restaurant in Sea Colony.

Barn Hill Preserve hopes to expand permanently to Delaware by next year.
