BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - More than 600 bicyclists start a tour of the Erie Canal from Buffalo to Albany this weekend.
The 400-mile bicycling tour organized by Parks & Trails New York starts Sunday and concludes Sunday, July 19.
Cyclists will cover from 40 to 60 miles per day along the Erie Canalway Trail. The trail is now more than three-quarters complete will be the longest multi-use trail in the nation when it’s finished.
This is the 17th annual canal tour.
