RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - State officials will be gathering in Rapid City next week to celebrate the opening of a new district office for the South Dakota Highway Patrol.

Gov. Dennis Daugaard, state Highway Patrol officials and others will participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled for Thursday. They will also tour the building.

The new district office is located in the 2200 block of Elgin Street.
