EAST KINGSTON, N.H. (AP) - Authorities say an 80-year-old New Hampshire woman drowned in a small, private pond on her property.

Police responded to the East Kingston property about 5:15 p.m. Sunday after receiving a report that the woman went underwater and did not resurface. A family member assisted police in their search for her.

Her identity has not been released.

Police say they found her after about 10 minutes at the bottom of the pond, under about 7 feet of murky water.

Efforts to revive the woman were unsuccessful. Her death has been ruled an accidental drowning.
