BUTTE, Mont. (AP) - Motorcycle daredevil Robbie Knievel is jumping 26 cars instead of a bar to celebrate his newfound sobriety following a DUI arrest.

The Montana Standard reports (https://bit.ly/1e501NW) a missed insurance deadline has the sobriety jump taking place in Uptown Butte on July 25 as part of a three-day sports festival named for his dad, Evel Knievel.

Evel Knievel Days spokesman Austin James says streets are being closed for the private function and that the festival’s insured perimeter is still the same size.

The 53-year-old daredevil was involved in a four-car collision and arrested April 21. His license is suspended and he’s facing a drunk-driving charge.
