OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) - Three men pulled off a plane at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport are facing drug charges after police found five pounds of marijuana in the door of a vehicle outside a hotel.
The Olympian reports (https://bit.ly/1SrK2Hr) Deputy Prosecutor Joe Jackson says the three men were taken off the plane as they were trying to flee.
Police saw two men enter a hotel from the parking lot, where they saw a vehicle with a wrench and cell phone sitting on it.
Officers went to the room the three were in and smelled a strong marijuana odor. A search of the vehicle turned up the pot and $2,900 in $100 bills.
The men fled during the search and were detained by airport authorities.
Bond for all three was set at $5,000. It’s unclear whether they have lawyers.
