FRUITLAND, Iowa (AP) - Train cars carrying automobiles have derailed near the small southeast Iowa city of Fruitland.
KWQC-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1fQdGKz ) six cars derailed about 4 a.m. Friday, just east of Fruitland.
Canadian Pacific Railroad officials say five of the cars carried automobiles and the sixth was empty.
No one was injured in the derailment and police say there is no risk to public safety.
Roads were closed near the tracks as crews responded to the accident.
Fruitland is about 5 miles south of Muscatine.
