Tanker truck hits barrier on busy stretch of I-95 in Del.

NEWPORT, Del. (AP) - State police say a tanker truck has struck a barrier on a busy stretch of Interstate 95 in Newport.

Police say the crash occurred shortly after 5:15 p.m. on northbound I-95 at the I-295 split.

Two lanes of northbound I-95 were closed following the crash. Police say there will be delays and drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.
