WATERVILLE, Maine (AP) - The Maine International Film Festival is wrapping up its 18th year with closing night festivities in Waterville.

The film festival began July 10 and ends on Sunday. Its schedule this year included screenings of more than 100 movies from around the world. This festival is held at Railroad Square Cinema and the Waterville Opera House.

Actor Michael Murphy was selected to receive the festival’s Mid-Life Achievement Award this year. He is known for his collaborations with the late director Robert Altman.

The event concludes with a closing night party at Mainely Brews in Post Office Square at 9:30 p.m.
