MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Businesses from across the state will be displaying, sampling and selling their products on Monday at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot.

Companies participating in the 27th annual Pride of Dakota Day will be offering a wide range of products including food and condiments, notecards, recordings, books, apparel and jewelry.

State Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring is encouraging fairgoers to take part in the Pride of Dakota Food Contest and the Snack Stick Challenge. He says fairgoers will have the opportunity to taste a various foods featuring North Dakota honey as an ingredient and meat sticks made by North Dakota companies.

More than 500 companies are part of the Pride of Dakota branding program administered by the Agriculture Department.
