JAMESTOWN, R.I. (AP) - Rhode Island environmental police say a Connecticut man has died while scuba diving off the coast at Jamestown.
WJAR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1MjenJq) police said the 40-year-old man was diving with a group of people in waters off Fort Wetherhill.
He was taken from the water at around 10:30 a.m. Sunday and later pronounced dead at Newport Hospital.
Police said the man was from Windsor, Connecticut. His name was not immediately released.
Department of Environmental Management police are investigating the cause of the accident.
