LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Little Rock police officials say a 20-year-old man was fatally shot Saturday night, marking the city’s 17th homicide of the year.

Lt. Steven McClanahan identified the victim on Sunday as Mark Mosley. When police arrived at the scene of the shooting, Mosley was lying on the ground with a gunshot wound.

McClanahan says the victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Several witnesses told detectives they were standing with the victim when a vehicle approached the group. They told police that a person in the vehicle began a heated argument with the victim. The suspect then pulled out a gun and shot Mosley.

Police were still searching for a suspect Sunday.
