MANKATO, Minn. (AP) - The father and brother of a former Minnesota State University football player who suffered a brain injury last year have finished a cross-country bike tour to raise money for those with similar injuries.

Blaine Kolstad and his 22-year-old son, Abe, wrapped up their bike trip Wednesday in Delaware. Abe biked 3,200 miles to the East Coast from Oregon while his dad drove a support truck on a trip that began May 21.

The Mankato Free Press (https://bit.ly/1CMVlCH ) reports the two have raised nearly $10,000 for patients with brain and spinal-cord injuries.

Isaac Kolstad is in a community reintegration program in the Twin Cities. The 25-year-old suffered a traumatic brain injury after being punched in a nightclub district in May 2014.
