NEW YORK (AP) - Two women have been arrested after police say they found scores of marijuana plants in their Queens home.

Queens District Attorney Richard Brown says 28-year-old Larraysha Conklin and 50-year-old Julene Mercado are scheduled to be arraigned Thursday night on marijuana possession, larceny and theft of services charges. It was not immediately clear if they had attorneys who could comment on their behalf.

The women were arrested Wednesday when officers executed a search warrant at the Cambria Heights home. Officers found 41 marijuana plants and large tubs of marijuana.

Brown says the women turned their home into a “virtual pot farm.”

Authorities allege the women were stealing electricity from Con Edison for high-voltage lights they allegedly used to grow the drugs. The theft was estimated at nearly $65,000.
